Simbol Hostel

This small, no frills hostel gives you exactly what you need without trying to make a big production out of it. It's noticeably clean (ie colourless) and cheap with 16 beds in newly-renovated, non-smoking rooms. In summer, the leafy terrace with its grill makes itself a welcome addition (particularly for smokers). Located in quiet, green northeastern Ljubljana near Trnovo Church, it's an amiable fifteen-minute walk to the cafes along the river or - better yet - rent one of Simbol's bikes for only Ä3.30 a day. Choose from 4 and 6 person dorms (Ä15/person) or private rooms (Ä23/person) - all with their own computer and internet.

A superb place to stay!
Clean and well-fitted. After 5 days driving through Europe with my cat en-route to Greece (April 2010) the washing machine & tumble dryer were particularly welcome! Free internet (wi-fi) was useful too.
Clean simple rooms with comfortable beds. Good (high-tech LOL) security. Easily accessible with parking.

Ljubljana was an unscheduled stop - I'm glad it happened - wonderful city, friendly people and great places to see. Very clean & welcoming. Excellent pubs and great restaurants with superb local dishes.
