Simbol Hostel

A superb place to stay! Clean and well-fitted. After 5 days driving through Europe with my cat en-route to Greece (April 2010) the washing machine & tumble dryer were particularly welcome! Free internet (wi-fi) was useful too. Clean simple rooms with comfortable beds. Good (high-tech LOL) security. Easily accessible with parking. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ljubljana was an unscheduled stop - I'm glad it happened - wonderful city, friendly people and great places to see. Very clean & welcoming. Excellent pubs and great restaurants with superb local dishes.

Celica Hostel

Celica is an amazing project and one worth experiencing. I would say, though, that the 12-bed dorm is pushing it a little too far in terms of filling the space with beds. AMuch too crushed but even then, the shower and toilet facilitis are vastly superior to anything else I,ve seen in a hostel. As for the rest of Celica, well next time I will check out one of the rooms when a girlfriend comes with me or I am not leaving at 5am .-) Last night the entertainment was a devastating bunch of virtuoso musicians doing whatever it is they were doing (it was their own music, their very own) and clearly a lot of people come to Celica for the entertainment alone as there was quite a crowd of non-residents. Definitely a must-visit place!

Fluxus Hostel

We've stayed in about 30 hostels and this one is the WORST. There was no hot water, but when we complained, the owner insisted it was a small problem and refused to refund the 2nd night, even though we only stayed for 1 night. And he said hostels are for young people who should not mind the water heater breaking down, which was just a machine's problem. He clearly did not understand the concept of customer service. He even said many hostels in Europe don't provide hot water, which is completely ridiculous - this is year 2010, not 1910! And to make things worse, he made rude racial remarks against us, saying that there are worse hostels in China and we Chinese should know better. So, fellow travelers, if you still want to book this hostel, make sure you're not Chinese, don't complain to the owner no matter what, and don't book the private room which doesn't have its own WC. The only good thing about this hostel is Vanja the manager, who's very nice and hardworking. But I pity her for working under such an unreasonable man!

Fluxus Hostel

This is kind of an upscale hostel with a great staff and nice rooms. Some oddities like no storage lockers and only one major bathroom, though. Would recommend asking how full it is when you book.

Definately the best hotel in Ljubljana! Really deserves 5 stars: well equipped rooms, nice view, incredible breakfast, friendly staff and reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

I,s sleeping whit bugs. Yes,there were a lot of bugs in my room, well, under me yn the bed. Really increible. My body was full of bittes, more than une hundred. Do you imagine?. I don,t forgotten this. thank you very much. I don,t know that is for the animals in the room?.

Alibi Hostel

This has to be one of the worst hostels ever. Don't stay here! The staff are outrageously rude, incompetent and unhelpful, they didn't honour our reservation, and put us in a far-flung suburb instead. There was nothing but confusion and misunderstandings from start to finish, culmnating in them attempting to withhold our passports. I'm a very easy going person, but the staff drove me bonkers! Don't try to reason with them - it won't work, just find another hostel. It wasn't just my group that had problems, a group of students from Munich had similar trouble with the rip-off merchants that are Alibi hostels. The rooms were dirty and the bathrooms were shabby. There was only one shower, and the advertised bike rental service was only one bike. This may not apply to the central hostel, as we couldn't stay there, but the complaints about the staff apply to both.

Nadia makes this visit a home away from home. Clean, comfortable and central to everything. Nadia will fill you in with all the best spots to visit and the best way to get there. We were there in June 2006. Wish we could return.

Fluxus Hostel

I know world hostel standards and quality have gone up alot just in the last 5 years, but still: 15 GBP is a bit expensive for anyone not from the UK, is it not? You won't find a 90zl dorm bed in Krakow, and we've got a lot more tourists. I appreciate the new-fandangled, 'western standard' hostel, but when do hostels stop being budget accomodation? Does no one agree that 20 euro hostels are losing sight of the point?

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2007. It is comfortable and adequate, but no more. We had continual trouble with our door keys, which kept failing, and the staff were generally very unhelpful. The hotel is very noisy too - cleaners yelling to each other in the early hours, and building work being done in the hotel grounds at 8am. Not good at all. The hotel is indeed staggering distance from the nightlife, but Ljubljana is so small that this is true of virtually every hotel anyway. I wouldn't stay here again, the service is poor. Avoid this one.

Wow what wonderful friendly warm and helpful people, Nada you are the best. I left Ljubljana but ended up returning without a booking and I was welcomed with opened arms. Book if you can very busy in peak season. The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious, modern, clean and they provide towels. There is a kitchen with all the mod cons. I loved it here. Hope you enjoyed it too.

I've been locked up before, and no doubt I'll be locked up again. I spent an unforgettable night here during my recent world tour... shared bunk beds with Young Jeezy too. Would have been 5/5 had it not been for his snoring!

Von der Ausstattung her eher Hostel-Charakter, aber Hotel-Preise (Preisniveau f¸r ‹bernachtungen scheint in L. sowieso hoch zu sein). Personal war ziemlich unfreundlich, v.a. im Hinblick auf die Unterbringung der Kinder. Liegt sehr citynah.
