Idrija Lace Gallery & Shop

Traditional, hand-made Idrijan lace has been produced by locals in the Idrijan region (just west of Ljubljana) since the 17th century and is widely recognised for its high-quality and design. This private gallery and shop in the centre of Ljubljana, owned by Irma Voncina, seeks to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Idrijan lace. On display and for sale are some of the best and most beautiful examples from the region, including hand-made lace curtains, table cloths, bed linen, clothing and more. Ms. Voncina's own work has become showcasing Slovenian culture in Slovenian embassies around Europe and many buildings in and around Ljubljana. Stop in for a truly authentic local souvenir.
