Bus Station

If you're arriving from the airport via shuttle, this will most likely be your Ljubljana launching point. In front of the train station, Ljubljana's bus station offers internet access and the bus system website is easy to understand and in English. As much as we love Ljubljana, the whole of Slovenia is incredible and nearby - buses are the best way to explore other popular destinations like Bled, Piran and Maribor, so bus-ta move! Also, if travelling to Trieste, the bus isn't great, but it's still the best way to get there if you don't have a car.

"Be aware that there are often more than one bus company operating the same routes. If you're coming back to Ljubljana, you may not want to buy a return ticket unless you're sure exactly which bus you are coming back on. Otherwise, another bus from another company may be more convenient, but unfortunately the tickets are not interchangeable."
