Rent a Bike in Ljubljana
A new bicycle rental system has been introduced in Ljubljana, allowing for a cheap and convenient (and healthy!) method of transportation for locals and visitors alike. Similar to the many bike rental schemes in cities across Europe, the Bicike(LJ) system includes 30 dock stations scattered across the city where bicycles can be picked up and dropped off.
The first step is to register for the program online, filling out a few personal details as a sort of "deposit" for the bike. This will deliver the user a personal code to use at the hiring stations. Prices are incredibly cheap, with the first hour completely free. The second hour is 1 euro, the third hour is 2 euro, and each additional hour costs 4 euro for a maximum of 24 hours.
