Festivals of this nature are rare, particularly in the region, yet Ljubljana's Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is a whopping 23 years old. As such, you'd think the festival would be a venerable institution, but sadly, this isn't the case. While the festival has its admirers, it owes its longevity primarily to the dedication of its organisers.
