Chez Eric

Beside Town Hall on Mestni Trg, this fine French restaurant is as fancy as its location would suggest, and as exclusive as its menu. With only four or five entrees to choose from, you can be assured that extra attention is being paid to each. Great values (for this quality) can be had on seasonal multi-course menus, or go ala carte with to-die-for dishes like 'St Jacques scallops wrapped in swiss chard leaves and mushrooms with saffron in champagne sauce.' In summer, the terrace is a delight or retreat to the impressive baroque interior of blinding chandeliers. It's posh nosh with a price you can palate.

Chez Eric has been highly reviewed elsewhere and I thought we might stop in when we're in Ljubljana this month. But a friend who visited recently said it may no longer be at this location. Can somebody let me know? Thanks
