Everything about this place says Bosnia: the food ("Bosnia"), the aromas ("Bosnia"), the decor ("Bosnia"), the staff ("Bosnia, sir?"), the music ("Bosnia!"), the language spoken at virtually every other table ("Bosnia-bosnia-bosnia")... Don't worry, Bosnian food is fantastic and found almost everywhere in Ljubljana thanks to the two countries' common past. Sofra is at the top of the taste tower for Bosnian eateries in town, although we wouldn't recommend visiting here if you're a vegetarian. It's meat, meat, and more meat, all over your table, and all in exchange for a quite reasonable amount of dosh. |

Ok, the food is authentic Bosnian, but the prices are rather steep and the couple who own the restaurant need to go on a customer care course! The restaurant is usually empty, which kind of gives you a clue, but we thought we'd give it a try on one of the nights with live music. We bought the musicians a drink and the owners took the drinks from their hands and threw them down the sink and told us we should have ordered more food! Dont come here for a pleasant evening.
