Nestled amidst the boutiques near the centre of town is this garishly gaudy cocktail bar for faux-fashionistas. Bedazzled with purple velvet curtains, leopard-print sofas, gold walls, glittering floors, hot pink easy chairs, and two enormous, exhibitionist windows (ideal for being seen as part of the scene), Salon has style to spare. In fact its unsparing decor is so over-the-top, Salon succeeds in being tacky enough to be trendy. Its chintzy glitz and schlock-it-to-me attitude challenges any notion of exclusivity, establishing a welcoming atmosphere that has vaulted Salon into the 'gold-leme tower' of Ljubljana drinking destinations.
