Plecnik House

|
Just can't get enough of this guy, can you? A part of the Ljubljana Architectural Museum, the Plecnik Collection is housed in the very house of the city's favourite son, who lived on this Trnovo property from 1921 to 1957. The collection consists of original materials left by the artist and other relics related to his work, in addition to the design of the buildings and interiors, fashioned by the adored architect himself. The bulk of the collection is in the cylindrical annexe constructed by Plecnik next to an older house owned by his brother, to which Joze later added a glassed-in porch and conservatory. Open Tues-Thurs, 10-18; Mon & Fri by appointment only, 10-15. Ä4. |
