KUD Cultural Arts Centre

This cultural centre is an open social space designed to promote community interaction and the arts. Created in 1987 as a new headquarters for a local cultural and educational society dating back to 1919, today 'KUD France Preseren Cultural and Arts Centre' has a vast scope of activities; namely, regular concerts of various musical styles, puppet and theatre programmes for children and adults, exhibitions, lectures, literary readings, seminars, round table discussions, workshops and performances - with a special emphasis placed on youth and counter culture. Though a bit outside the tourist track in Trnovo, this is a great venue to see a show and tap the vein of the city's teenage and twenty-something communities, and a prime destination during August's Trnfest.
