Virtual Museum

|
Located inside Ljubljana Castle, this may seem like the forced, awkward marriage of modernity and antiquity, and yeah, it is. But if you're into whizbang, voyeuristic, virtual technology (which apparently the Ljubljana City Council is), then get in there like Mike Teavee. At the Virtual Museum visitors can take a virtual walk through time, observing the historical development of the city's architecture, culture, economy and life of its residents - using the most modern equipment of 2004! The peacock feather in this museum's cap is the Virtual Mobile, which enables visitors to take a closer look at numerous museum exhibits, virtually zooming in, out and around artifacts (including some that can only been seen by the public in virtual reality!) on a self-guided tour. Tickets are Ä3.30 and also valid for the (not virtual) Viewing Tower. |
